Day 11 - Anne Sullivan

Today, October 20th, is the 85th anniversary of the death of Anne Sullivan. Sullivan was a student at Perkins School for the Blind, but is remembered mostly as the teacher of Helen Keller. By spelling into the palm of Helen’s hand, Sullivan was able to bring her pupil-who was both deaf and blind- out of the dark. Sullivan is noted as an inspiration to teachers as she helped her students achieve their full potential.
