Day 48 - First World Congress on the Future of Special Education

The Council for Exceptional Students held their first World Congress on the future of special education in Stirling Scotland during the summer of 1977. The event was made possible based on the idea that special education is global in scope and that the international exchange of ideas was extremely valuable. The World Congress was designed to give attendees the opportunity for personal interaction amongst the representatives of at least fifty countries.
