Day 56 - Mills v. Board of Education of District of Columbia

Supreme Court case Mills v. Board of Education of District of Columbia argued that a school district could not exclude children with disabilities from receiving an education. Specifically, the case dealt with the cost of education, stating that “insufficient funding” should not have a greater impact on disabled students than others. The court case, along with PARC v. Pennsylvania ensured greater protections of education for students with disabilities.
