In 1913 Elizabeth Farrell established her Psycho-Educational Clinic for the purpose of assessing students to correctly place them into ungraded classes. The clinic had employees from four different fields, psychology, social services, medicine, and education. Once placed into an ungraded class evaluations by these professionals continued to determine the progress of the child.
