Day 45 - The Veto of the Rehabilitation Act and Protests.

Before its passage in 1973, the Rehabilitation Act was vetoed twice by President Nixon in 1971 and 1972. Demonstrations were held by disabled activists to protest the veto. Some of the groups that organized in Washington D.C. and other locations were Disabled in Action, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the National Paraplegia Foundation.
